PostSubyek: Transcode Panasonic SD900 MTS to AIC MOV for iMovie 11   Thu Oct 13, 2011 2:54 pm

The Panasonic HDC-HS900 High Definition Camcorder, one of the Three Musketeers of the company's flagship HD camcorder fleet, offers the trusty 3 MOS image sensor system, 1080/60p video recording with 5.1-Channel Surround Sound System audio recording, Hybrid OIS, Intelligent Auto, 20x Intelligent Zoom and Eco-Mode. One of the marvelous features of the HDC-HS900 that catch our eyes is the ability to record 1920 x 1080 60p at 28Mbps, which obliterated moiré patterns and provided smooth, fluid motion.

But when the users want to edit the Panasonic HDC SD900 1080/60p MTS/M2TS videos with iMovie 11, the problem seems to arise --- the iMovie11 can not recognize the MTS/M2TS files which have been transferred to Apple’s hard disk drive. It is also reported that the native Panasonic HDC-SD900 1080/60p MTS/M2TS files sometimes can not be edited regularly with iMovie11. So when these problems happen, what should we do to solve them and import/transfer Panasonic HDC-SD900 AVCHD 1080/60p MTS/M2TS to iMove11 for editing?
